Button Quails

Button quails are small little quails with a pretty big attitude. Though normally they don't sit on thier own eggs and they have to be incubated I figured I would give a pair a try. They love to spread the bedding around and search for seeds in the shavings and hay. The build little nests and then tear them down. The hens can lay eggs every other day like a chicken though laying like that will take a big toll on the bird. The male makes a small crowing sound to attrack his mate and let the others know that is his territory.

The male is a cinnamon splash (white with spots) and the hen is a darth vader.
